The Line - Marcus Sardina

Grey skies hang like colored leaves in autumn
A concrete jungle surrounds me as I sleep
I dream I've just reached the bottom
Of a dark oceans deep
And it's almost as if I've believed
All the arguments and simple pleasures
Because in the nothing I've received
This exceeds all fair measures
Unreal, eccentric, obscene
Describing words for what I've seen
Adrenaline, fear, surreal
Describing words for what I feel
Then with such immense power I and the ocean
Were pulled away with a spiral sweeping motion
And just when I thought this is it I'm going to acend
I open my eyes and my dream did end
