Katie Benjamin MUA - NY

My name is Katie, and I’m a self taught makeup artist. I’ve been into makeup for quite some time but the fascination really sparked within the last few years. My biggest inspirations are drag artists…which is ultimately what made me go “WOW! I wanna look like that.”. On top of that, I naturally have hooded eyes and I’ve had to teach myself ways to disguise that with makeup techniques. Exploring the makeup world has been life changing in the best ways. For example, I’ve been a makeup artist for a fashion show,  and a SFX horror makeup artist for a few Halloween events. Representing who I am with how I look is something that is very special to me and I love being able to paint others and help individuals represent themselves the way they want to.
